Q How do I access Online Banking?
AIt's easy! Just go to www.katahdintrust.com click on "Online Services" select "Personal Online Banking Login", then click on "First time users, please click here to register". As soon as we have processed your registration form, normally within three business days of receiving your registration form, we will mail you a Welcome Kit. It will include instructions for your first time login and helpful information regarding our Online Banking Service. A Katahdin Trust Company personal checking account is required for Online Banking.

Q How frequently is my Katahdin Trust Company information updated?
A Katahdin Trust Company updates all customer information nightly. Whether you access Online Banking or contact us directly, your account information is updated nightly to reflect all account activity.

Q Can I look at all of my transactions at any time?
A Yes, with Online Banking, you have access to your account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Q How do I register for Online Bill Payment?
A You may register for Online Bill Payment within Online Banking. Simply click the Bill Payment button. First, you will be requested to read and accept the Katahdin Trust Company's authorization disclosure. Failure to accept the disclosure terms prevent the registration process from proceeding. After you accept the disclosure, you can complete the online registration form. After submission, the registration form is electronically forwarded to Katahdin Trust Company for processing.

Q After I have signed up online for electronic bill payment, how long does it take for my Online Bill Payment service to be set up?
A You will be notified by e-mail when your Bill Payment Account is set up, normally within 10 business days of receiving your request. We will also mail you an Online Bill Payment Welcome Package.

Q How does bill payment work?
A To help you understand the process, we have provided a diagram.

Q How long does it take to set up a new payee in the bill payment system?
A Once you have entered information for a new Payee, the Payee will be immediately set to receive Payments.

Q After I make a bill payment, how long does it take for the money to be debited from my account?
A The money will be debited electronically from your account within 2 business days starting on the day following the payment date, excluding Sundays and holidays. For example, if you make a payment on Monday before 5:45 PM EST or EDT, whichever is applicable, you can expect your account to be debited on Tuesday or Wednesday. If you make a payment on Saturday before 5:45 PM EST or EDT, whichever is applicable, you can expect your account to be debited on Monday or Tuesday.

Q How long does it take for a payment to reach the payee?
A A payment that generates an ACH payment will credit the payee's account within 1-3 business days; whereas, a paper check will take up to 5 days.

Q How do I actually use the Electronic Bill Payment System?
A Bill payment information and step-by-step instructions can be accessed by clicking on the Help button within the Bill Payment section of Online Banking. Additionally, as soon as your request for Online Bill Payment is approved, we will mail you an Online Bill Payment Welcome Package that includes an Online Bill Payment Help Guide.
