Ways We Give BackEmployee GivingKatahdin Trust helps foster growth in our local economy by providing jobs to nearly 180 people throughout Maine. Our employees are passionate about where they live, work and play. In 2020, they demonstrated that commitment by donating 2,800 volunteer hours to 129 local non-profit organizations and programs. From youth and senior programs, to humane societies, to community development activities, our employees are serious about giving back and making a difference. Casual Because We CareEmployees can dress casually on Friday and Saturday each week in support of various non-profit organizations. Each employee that participates in Casual Because We Care Days contributes a minimum of $1 in exchange for the privilege to dress casually and wear jeans. Funds raised are donated annually to pre-selected non-profit organizations throughout Maine. Financial EducationWe welcome the opportunity to participate in financial literacy education. Programs include Teach Children to Save Day, Get Smart About Credit Day, and Junior Achievement. Each one provides an age-appropriate curriculum and activities. If you would like to request a classroom visit or virtual presentation, please contact the branch manager located nearest to your school or youth program. Donations & SponsorshipsKatahdin Trust takes great pride in our continuing support of the local community. We work hard to build strong partnerships with a variety of organizations. In addition to providing financial contributions, Katahdin Trust helps promote worthy causes on the radio for events, activities, and organizations that we're involved with. Our focus areas include education, safe and affordable housing, health and wellness, and community development initiatives; particularly those making a difference in the lives of low-to-moderate income (LMI) individuals. |
