Is your debit card missing, stolen, or declined?

To report a lost or stolen card, if your card was declined or blocked although you have sufficient funds, or if you see a transaction on your account you didn’t make, please give us a call right away:

1-800-472-3272 option 2 to speak with our Card Processing Center. NOTE: If your card was declined or blocked, please proceed with option 2 to report a lost or stolen card, which includes assistance with declined transactions due to possible card fraud.

Debit Card Fraud Monitoring

We're committed to protecting your financial information and helping reduce card-related fraud. We regularly monitor your debit card usage for any unusual activity. If unusual activity is detected on your card we will notify you immediately by phone or text message. If you can't be reached and transactions are being questioned, your card may be temporarily blocked for your protection. If this has happened, please call 1-855-331-3221 Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, option 3 or after hours call 1-800-472-3272, option 2.

[!] Katahdin will NEVER call, text, or send emails asking you to provide sensitive banking information. Never give out your social security number, account number, online banking username, or password over the phone unless you initiate the call to a phone number that you know is legitimate.

You can manage how and where your debit card is used and receive alerts within online banking or the Katahdin Mobile Banking App. You can temporarily turn "off" your debit card the moment you realize your card is lost, stolen or if you suspect fraud. When you find your card, you can simply turn your card back "on".

Using your card to travel?

If you plan on traveling out of your normal transaction area, to a foreign country or are making a foreign transaction online, please contact our Electronic Banking Department at 1-855-331-3221 so we can update your account. Having your updated contact information will help ensure we are able to quickly notify you of unusual patterns on your debit card. We also find that it’s best to carry more than one form of payment when traveling, such as cash or credit card, in the event that you lose or damage your card. 

 

How do I change my PIN number?

Choose one the following options to change your debit card PIN:

  • call 1-800-992-3808, or
  • select ‘Change PIN’ at any Katahdin Trust ATM, or
  • select 'Set PIN' under the Cards menu within our KTC Mobile app

A Katahdin personal checking account is required to obtain a Visa Debit Card. Message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier.
