Deposit checks in a flash

With Mobile Check Deposit in the app, it’s a snap to deposit checks 24/7.

Simply select an account for deposit and then take photos of the front and back of your signed check. Then just verify the amount, and submit. That’s all there is to it. What a time saver!


Deposit Instructions

  1. Log In to your Katahdin Trust Mobile Banking App using your online banking credentials
  2. Select Deposits from the Menu
  3. Select New Deposit
  4. Select the Account to receive the deposit
  5. Enter the Amount (ensure it matches the amount written on your check) and select Continue
  6. Endorse the back of the check with your signature and write “For Mobile Deposit Only”
  7. Take a photo of the front and back of the endorsed check
  8. You will receive a confirmation on your phone that your deposit is being processed
  9. Write on the front of the check “Mobile Deposit on DATE” (where the date is the full date you deposited the check by Mobile Deposit)
  10. Securely store your check for 5 days after funds are posted to your account, and destroy it after 14 days

Daily deposits are limited to $2,000 per user. For deposits received and accepted before 4:30 pm on a business day that we are open, we will consider that day to be the day of your deposit. Funds from your deposit generally will be available to you on the first business day after the day we receive your deposit. Please see our Funds Availability Policy for additional details.

Text Banking

Smart banking without a smartphone.

Get your account information no matter what phone is in your pocket. Text banking lets you get the facts about your accounts the moment you need them without needing Internet access.

Text to Katahdin Trust (995-88)

After enrolling through Online Banking (Profile tab), you’ll receive a text message with an activation code from our short code, 99588. Save this code to your contacts. From that point on, you can simply text a command to 99588 to receive the following information:

  • Check all account balances (Text BAL)
  • Review recent transactions (Text HIST plus the texting nickname for the account, ie HIST ckg1)
    • Additional transactions (Text NEXT)
  • Find an ATM (Text ATM plus the ZIP Code or City, State) ie. ATM Patten, ME
  • Find a Branch (Text BRANCH plus the ZIP Code or City, State)
  • Find ATMs and Branches (Text BOTH plus the ZIP Code or City, State)
  • Find a list of text commands or for help (Text HELP)
  • To cancel or deactivate service (Text STOP)

Text commands are not case-sensitive. You can also set up text alerts on selected banking transactions. For example, you can set up an alert through Online Banking to text you when your balance is below $100.

You must be enrolled in Katahdin Trust's Personal Online Banking to use Text Banking. Katahdin Trust will NEVER ask for confidential banking information via email or text message and you should never respond to any messages requesting that type of information. Our service is free, but message and data rates may apply.

With Easy Phone Banking, you can access information about your checking, savings, CDs, IRAs or loan accounts from any touch-tone telephone. Just dial toll-free 1-800-949-8562 any time of the day or night and follow the voice prompts.

First-time user? Press 1 for account information and then enter any one of your Katahdin Trust account numbers followed by the # sign. When prompted for your Personal Identification Number (PIN), enter the last four digits of your social security/tax identification number. As soon as you enter the system for the first time, you will be prompted to change your temporary PIN.
