Online Bill Pay

By using Bill Pay, you can make payments to virtually anyone in the United States from the utility company to the local babysitter. It saves you time and simplifies your busy life!

When a payment is sent by paper check, the payee may receive payment prior to the date you selected to ensure it arrives on time. Make sure you have enough money in your account a couple of days before the estimated delivery date to cover the payment.

Transfer Money

It’s quick and easy to move your money around, whether you need to make an internal or external transfer.

Conveniently schedule your transfers online or in our mobile app. Transfers can be initiated immediately or for future dates and can be one-time or recurring.

External Transfers

  • Transfer money electronically between your accounts with us and your accounts at other financial institutions
  • Move money without visiting a branch, writing a check, or depositing cash
  • Standard delivery takes 3 to 5 business days

Ready to get started? Simply log in to Online Banking, select the "Transfer" tab, and then "Launch External Transfer." From the mobile app, select "Transfer & Pay" then “Make an external transfer”. Next, select "Add a New Account." You will then be asked to verify your account.

Must have a home phone number listed on your Katahdin account. Users must be age 18 or over. Both accounts must have the exact same name on them. Please refer to our Fees for General Services brochure for fees that may apply. Transfers made in online banking after 6:00pm will be processed on the next business day.

Verification Passcode

Verification passcodes replace the need to answer security challenge questions when logging in to online or mobile banking. Provide your mobile, home, and work phone numbers. When you log in from a device we don't recognize, we will prompt you to enter a code. Enter the code sent to your device via text message or automated phone call to restore access. No need to memorize your new passcode - a unique code is generated each time you are asked for a code. 

Remember:  We will NEVER call, email, or text you asking for the passcode. You should never give the code to anyone over the phone or through email and only enter it when logging in to our online or mobile banking system.

Helpful Tips:

  • You can have up to three different phone numbers to receive your passcode via phone call.
  • If you don't have a home phone number, enter another number such as your mobile phone into the home phone field.
  • Only one mobile phone number per user can be set up for text messaging. If you don't have a mobile phone, leave that field blank.
  • To update your home or work phone number: Log in to Online Banking, click Profile, next to Phone click Edit.
  • To update your mobile phone number: Log in to Online Banking, click Profile, next to Security Challenge click Edit; or within the mobile app, select More and then Manage Two-Factor Authentication.

With alerts, you will know the moment something important happens on your account. It's easy and free for Katahdin online and mobile banking users.

Choose from dozens of account activity alerts and receive notifications via email, text, online banking, or even push notifications through your mobile app, including:

  • When a purchase is made with your debit card
  • When a check clears your account
  • When your account balance goes below your set threshold

To set up your text and email alerts, simply login to Online Banking and click “Enroll” on the homepage under "Alerts". To turn on push notifications, log in to our mobile app and select “More”, then select “Alerts”.
